We are a small family company (father and two sons) that is creating exclusive hand made chessmen and chess sets. Our passion to chees and history led us to the idea of combining these two elements together in bringing history and chees closer to the people. We believe that every one of our chess figures has their own spirit as all of them are hand crafted, hand patinated and hand painted from the scratch. We have developed also technique in which these figures are specially galvanised in order to protect them. Every one of our chess sets is telling a story and its visualization is historically accurate. Behind every piece of our product are hours of historical research. We are trying to combine historical manufacturing processes with the new technologies such as 3D printing and with other trends so our product will be as much historically accurate as possible without loosing their spirit. In our products we are focusing not only on our national – Slovak history, but we are also covering various historical events and significant periods of time. For example, chess piece of the tower is the exact replica of the towers from Slovak historical times that are part of the UNECSO historical heritage. One of our sets is telling a story about the period of King Louis XVI. of France, which is characterized by its elegance and noblesse. Figures are handcrafted with precise details significant for the 17th century period. Another set is called „Battle of Vienna” and is simulating the battle between Habsburg monarchy and Ottoman Empire. Our product is already on the market and as far as we know our chess sets and our techniques are unique in Europe.
